If I could live in Charlottesville, Virginia purely for the views…I would! Virginia is full of such sweet places but if you want pure natural beauty, Charlottesville is your place. When Holly and Spencer told me that they were getting married at the home of James Monroe, I flipped out. If you don’t know, that means old architecture and lots of land! I was so excited to get to also take their engagement pictures here as well.
I tell my couples all the time that my favorite moments through this process is honestly getting to know them. It is so worth while to show up the day of the wedding and feel like a friend. You gain trust with your couples and they rely on you…they also turn into goofballs in front of the cameras.
Holly & Spencer are no exception. One thing I love about this couple is that they naturally gravitate towards each other. I rarely had to ask them to move closer to one another or even really coach them past the basics. Holly & Spencer were laughing and really taking in the time they had together to do something so special. They were convinced that they were not going to be good models and be awkward in front of the camera. I think this blog is going to show them EXACTLY how wrong they are. They were absolute naturals and rocked every single pictures we took.
Holly & Spencer, I truly feel so blessed to have met you guys. You both are so genuine and sweet. I love your adventurous and “go with the flow” attitude. That’s why we got such awesome pictures. I so look forward to taking pictures of your wedding. If your engagements are this good, can you imagine your special day?!
