100th blog post!! |Richmond, Virginia| Heather Michelle Photography

Oh my goodness ya’ll! 100 blog posts. I am not even sure what to say. Honestly, I am so surprised that I had enough content to type for 100 blogs. I look back at my first blog and I realize how quickly change can happen. My first blog was back in 2013 and I had just graduated college. I was scared and looking for what my purpose was in life. Little did I know that I was about to walk into an amazing world full of love, growth, and laughter.

My 100th blog is so special to me because I have just realized how happy I am, and have been for the last 2 years. There has been a lot of stress and crying about my business. Everyone has a way of doing things and learning what works best for me was HARD! But, I have my system and it works! I don’t know why I am surprised but I am…. it’s not the most organized or systematic schedules. I have days where I sit and work all day long or I have days where I enjoy a River City Food Tour with my friends. The point is, I don’t want to look back when I am 65 or 70 and WISH and DREAM that I had enjoyed those moments. My generation is programmed that in order to have a successful life we have to work hard!! Well, I do work hard but I value my relationships and friendships MORE. I value renovating a kitchen with my boyfriend and his parents. I value going shopping and eating lunches with my mom. I won’t look back and regret spending time with people who care.

Most people think I am a very happy and joyful person. I am!! I love that about myself. But peeps, happiness is a choice. You have to wake up every morning and remind yourself that you woke up and it’s a new day. You only have one life!!! You don’t get another chance to make people happy and do all you can. So, for my 100th post I am preaching to choose happiness and soak up all you can. Do fun things that make you happy or hang out with your friends and make memories. Remember that when you have a bump in the road that there are people who may not get an extra day.

Thanks ya’ll for all of the support! You are the best and I don’t know what I would do without yah!!

Heather, just today I read an article by a guy who started a business around his passions, and he talked about determine what his “currency” was. The default for the world is money, but he realized that for him, the most valuable currency was experiences. Your post here sounds pretty similar – find out what it is that you want to accumulate, and then go after that thing.
