One of my favorite things to do as a photographer is take pictures of food. Ben and I signed up for River City Food Tours which allowed us to walk to many different vendors in the Cary town area. The food was delicious and I would recommend this tour and the 6 vendors to anyone. Our tour guide gave us amazing history lessons about Carytown and made our experience a blast! I do have to admit we made a big commitment to this tour because of the weather. It SNOWED! It was very cold but the entire group embraced the chilly weather and had a blast. Our group of attendees were so much fun and we were cracking jokes the entire time.

We went to 6 vendors:

Carytown Cupcakes, Water Coastal Kitchen, Xtra’s, Virginia Diner,  Don’t Look Back, and the Portrait House. Each vendor gave us a unique plate of food to try. Of course, the food lover in me liked them ALL! My personal favorite were the risotto/mozzarella balls from Xtra’s.

By the end of the tour our group had truly bonded. We were chatting like old friends. It’s amazing how a few hours and food can give people so much to talk about!
