Think Pink!

In this day and age it is very hard to say that you don’t know someone who is affected by breast cancer. I can think of four women of the top of my head who I am close to who have had to fight breast cancer. It’s a scary thing and it’s a battle. The important thing to remember is that it can happen to any of us and we need to support those around us who are fighting. Be positive, be proactive, and pay it forward.

Be Positive: Be a listening ear. Take her out to lunch and let her talk about what she is going through. You may not understand…and she may not either BUT letting her talk will make her feel better.

Be Proactive: Make sure to have a mamogram done regularly, especially if you have a history of breast cancer in your family. Think of it this way, it doesn’t hurt to get checked.

Pay if forward: If you know someone with any type of cancer don’t be afraid to help out. They probably need something done for them. That may be a ride to a doctor’s appointment, bringing them dinner, or helping with yard work. You never know if you will be in a similar situation.

To all my ladies who have battled or are battling cancer. I love you and you are so strong! Keep fighting.

All I can say is you are one sweet lady. Save advice and words of warmth. Powerful combinations.
