Hey there! I am Heather. A Richmond local and Sugar Shack Donut enthusiast. This is my little home where I write about long lasting love, foodie locations you HAVE to visit, renovations, and DIY projects.
I have been so excited to write this blog. There is something so special about taking pictures for people you know. They have to trust me with memories that will literally last for the rest of their lives. Their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren will look at these in the years to come. It is such an honor to do this.
Michael is my oldest male cousin and growing up, I adored him! I always wanted to be around Michael and my other cousin Matthew. You see, I wasn’t a girly girl. I was as tomboy as they come and you could always find me climbing the willow tree in my grandmother’s front lawn or playing football with the guys. Matthew and Michael were my first “guy pals”. Of course, they didn’t want to hang around a little girl who was much younger than them but that never deterred me. In fact, I still remember where the massive bump on my head was located when I was wacked on the head with a virtual paint ball gun they both received for Christmas, as they were trying to run away from me. When they would leave from a family get together, I would sit around their feet and made it very hard for them to leave.
Michael, I am so happy that you have found your other half and the one you will grow old with. You are such an amazing person and deserve all of the happiness in the world. You have your family behind you to support you in every way possible but more importantly, you now have Brittany by your side.
Brittany! I can officially call you my cousin and that makes me SO happy. I kept laughing at the wedding during the family portrait session as I kept calling my side of the family “the bride’s family”. That’s because I have seen you as part of this family for a long time. I am so glad that Michael is the love of your life. I can’t wait to see your life in the years to come.
Thank you for allowing me to be part of your special day. Most people know that I love capturing these memories and your wedding was perfect! I hope you enjoy your wedding blog. Love you both!
Absolutely beautiful! Captured the feelings, beauty, excitement and fun in every picture. What a wonderful way to relive and enjoy this special for the rest of their lives. Thanks for sharing wished we could have been in town to attend but this has made us feel a part of their special day.
Aw! Karen, you are too sweet. You were there in thought and I am so glad that you feel like you were there by looking through the pictures. That makes me feel so happy
